“A moment I’ve been dreading. George [Bush Sr] brought his ne’re-do-well son around this morning and asked me to find the kid a job. Not the political one who lives in Florida. The one who hangs around here all the time looking shiftless. This so-called kid is already almost 40 and has never had a real job. Maybe I’ll call Kinsley over at The New Republic and see if they’ll hire him as a contributing editor or something. That looks like easy work.”

  1. I was just about to make this my favourite quote on Facebook (yes, I know there are many reasons not to) and I thought I’d check it. Unfortunately it looks like it’s a fake (http://www.snopes.com/politics/satire/kinsley.asp). Sorry to be a party pooper!

t.i.n.a.: . . . maybe we should invade Ronald Reagan and make sure. . . oh. . . you mean he’s. . . . ? . . Well maybe we could just sanction his country until millions of kids die of primitive diseases and starvation. You know. Just to be on the safe side.
